we upgraded my PC yesterday (well...wren n banemoo did, i tidied up around them...i really should try and learn more about PC building ^^; )

the only things that are the same are my beautiful case (banemoo's dad hand sprayed it - there's no frikkin way i'm ever changing my case! ), the DVD drive and the floppy drive - i've got all new CPU, RAM, graphics card, motherboard, hard drive etc. etc. (well they're hand me down's from banemoo but they're still much better than what i had before!)

at first i thought it was going to be a bit of a pain (and i was worried about losing my art and paid work through random acts of corruption in my backups o.O; ) but i'm actually really loving having a clean slate to start off again! i've got a 240GB hard drive, which may not seem like much compared to a lot of PCs out there but i was working with 120GB before so i'm really happy to have double the space! i've also got 2GB RAM rather than 1 which should speed up photoshop and painter nicely ^^

...well i'm off to spend the entire day re-importing all my files over - i'm actually really excited about having a new filing system! *jumps up n down* (yeah i like to sort things...its wierd...) - i'd been using my old hard drive for years and even with the best of intentions all my files were getting really messy - now i'm going to go through absolutely everything and only bring over the things i really need, and re-file them all in a proper order! ...how can i be excited about that? o.O;

should be cool tho - i'll be glad to spend the day sitting down as i went the gym and tescos shopping yesterday and all this exercise is starting to nacker me out! XD

must remember to do figure drawing today as i didn't have the time to yesterday...*toddles off*

the only email sub-folder i failed to export out as a personal file from microsoft outlook on my old hard drive? the goddamn work one!!

...and as my old HD is IDE i'm not sure if we can hook it up to the new machine and access it properly (i've got it hooked up as an external drive to copy my work across, but you can't acess outlook emails like this -_- )

altho i think i can piece together what i need of the website project from emails left in my main inbox and sent items, so i'm not going to bother trying to hook the old hard drive up properly unless there's an emergency *sigh*

today is turning out to be rather an annoying day - i was going to do work on the neo comp comic *all day* - have i even started yet? no. have i even finished the thumbnails i was going to get done first thing on sunday? no.

sometimes trying to fit in comicking around everything else in life is so hard ;_; (scratch the 'sometimes', most of the time it is -_- )

...maybe i should switch to entirely net-based email.....
